FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Apluvia was developed to operate on ships with both folding and sliding hatch covers, which correspond to the vast majority of bulk carriers.
You can install Apluvia on any ship loader, whether it is fixed, tracked, rail-mounted, or wheeled.
Yes it is possible! Its connection to the ship loader has an opening of approximately 1500mm, allowing the passage and connection of other equipment.
As the installation of Apluvia represents additional loads on the charger, we perform an individualized assessment for each case.
As Apluvia covers the entire hold, the generated dust is contained. In addition, it allows the port to have more productivity by reducing the specific impact per shipped ton.
Both the frame and the head are made of strong materials and have no need for scheduled replacement. The cover material has an estimated useful life of 5 years.
It is possible to install 3d radar sensors inside the Apluvia to track the loading. These sensors are supplied as pre-installed accessories and are accessible remotely and wirelessly.
The control of the Apluvia is done by the ship loader operator and only the intervention during the docking and uncoupling of the Apluvia in the ship’s hold is required. To dock Apluvia, 4 operators on the ship’s deck are recommended.
All the necessary training is given by our team upon delivery of the equipment.
